Elderly/Disabled Housing Program
The Enfield Housing Authority's 200 Elderly/Disabled Housing Program units are located at:
- Woodside Park
- Windsor Court
- Enfield Manor
- Ella Grasso Manor
Residents are responsible for some utilities, which varies by development. Each site has a Laundry Room and Community Room. Units are cable ready, have an emergency call for aide system, private entrances and are equipped with stove and refrigerator. All units are located on ground level. Pets are allowed at these sites, in accordance with the Enfield Housing Authority's Pet Policy. Applicants must be age 62 or older OR 100% disabled as certified by the Social Security Administration or any other federal board or agency.
Rents are based on income. Residents pay base rent OR 30% of their adjusted gross income, whichever is higher. The Enfield Housing Authority participates in the State of Connecticut's Elderly Rental Assistance Payment (ERAP) program. This resident based program will assist households when the base rent exceeds 30% of their adjusted monthly income and is subject to funding by the state legislature. Effective January 1, 2023, base rents for the Elderly/Disabled Program are:
Ella Grasso Manor- $450 or $477 (depending on size of unit)
Enfield Manor- $474 or $506 (depending on size of unit)
Windsor Court- $483
Woodside Park- $434 or $462 (depending on size of unit)
The income limits are set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The amounts listed are gross annual income limits. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet base rent requirements as determined by the Enfield Housing Authority.
Maximum gross annual income requirements for Elderly/Disabled Program:
1 Person Household- $66,150
2 Person Household- $75,600
